ECO-UNIT | An ‘eco-unit’ supports the care of an Agave geminiflora plant. ‘Reversible chutes’ made out of fabric and wire adapt to the plant’s dramatic growth. When facing inward, the chutes aid the passage of water, and when reversed, they space the leaves and control the direction of growth for easier care.

ROTATING PLANT SHAFT NURSERY | The next phase of the project operates at a different scale, with a rotating plant shaft nursery adapting to the requirements of plants that demand partial sun. Lit entirely by natural light, the plants are rotated throughout the day, each getting their necessary quotas of light and allowing for denser plant production on an urban site.
